family of mine came from Belgium to “fight the good fight” (for the south) too bad the south lost
it had more than enough flair, ettiquette and the union just used the “free the slaves” card to make sure the french and british won’t join the just cause of the south
I like the eagle down with the cross and the crescent and the star whatever other symbol there is for god, all that can stay in in the pews, church, temple whatever it is,
Filipinos fought for the CSA too! DEO VINDICE!

I have heard that when they saw the flag they would not fire upon each other.
Do not mess with the Irish!!
You are an ass!
A large group of Irish joined to receive military training so they could go back and free Ireland
They were called the Fenians and thousands of Irish fought & died for the Confederacy
The south should’ve picked it’s own cotton and built large factories like the north.
the Paddy faught and faught and faught everywere he went {HA,HA}
Now this is really confusing, as stonewall Jackson was a protestant, he hated popery. 20,000 Catholic Irish fought for the union. what would of happened on the battle field if irish catholic brothers met each other?,.
Wow!! So who were the racists? Not the south. This just proves we were fighting a overgrown Federal governemnt that was against states rights. Good post nino.
I never knew that. Interesting!! The more I did into the Civil War you hear more and more things that were never taught in US history.
The Union was anti-Semite and anti-Catholic and anti-Black.
i love it. 5 stars
President Davis gave high praise to those men after the war. Compared the Battle of Sabine Pass to the Spartans at Thermopylae, except that we won with no loss of life to our side.
u doing good heritagenothateprod thanks for all ya have done
“…in early 1861, before the Union blockade closed the port of New Orleans, four ships arrived from Naples with 884 ex-members of the armed forces of the ex-kingdom of the Two Sicilies to take up arms for the Confederacy. They were enlisted as the Italian Guards in the European brigades in the 10th Louisiana Infantry Regiment.
Some survived the war and some returned to Italy. To this day, in the museum at Civitella del Tronto in Abruzzo, the last Bourbon fortress in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies to surrender (on March 20, 1861) to the forces of Italian unification, there is a Confederate flag commemorating the soldiers who left to fight for another South. Would have any more information about the very few Italians fighting for the Confederacy? Thanks for your videos!

This was interesting, especially about the Irish Catholics, and the anti-catholic feelings from some unionists. Were these unionists also responsible for the idea that the Vatican was behind lincoln’s assassination, since Booth was a Catholic?
Did Native Americans ally themselves with one side or the other in the Civil War?
Houston Texas Has a Great Irish Confederate Hero Richard William Dowling Commander at Sabine Pass
IRISH REBELS…CONFEDERATE TIGERS
There were Many Confederate Irish in the US Civil War and In The US war of Independence too the US had a Great Irish Leader Commodore John Barry who was there to see the Surrender of the British and British Loyalists
