If you want to see disgraces to the country, look no further than places like Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, and the federal government.

@FreeTexas100 There wouldn’t be a civil war, and lets say if the confederate States was located in south America ( I know it sounds stupid but pretend) then they would be independent. The British didn’t lose the revolutionary war, they chose to leave because they said, these colonies are 3000 miles away. Trust me, many people in the north said let the south be independent, we don’t want to lose any more boys. If the South was independent, would the north and south get along eventually?

The only reason the “rich northern states” seem to subsidize southern states is because the federal government refuses to enable more Americans (northern and southern) to fend for themselves and would rather just force more Americans into social welfare. I’m a Pennsylvanian and proud of it but I have a deep respect for my fellow Americans especially the southern ones. Life in the northern states isn’t exactly what I would call “rich” either.

It’s great reading how all these neo-Confederates go through such lengths to make slavery something of a ‘Southern afterthought’. Revise history all you want, the truth remains the same as it has been ever since Beauregard and Ruffin commenced the War of ‘Northern Agression’ (wink) by shooting the first shots of the conflict at Ft. Sumter.
the South wouldn’t rise again, this country is too much connected for something like that to happen. The next civil war would be a revolutionary war.
I am by blood related to the GREAT General Robert E. Lee and I agree the South should have won and in fact if you think about it we did win because of the simple fact that Robert E. Lee only surrendered to stop the killing and in fact had a lot of say in the terms of surrender. So I say LONG LIVE THE C.S.A! If there was another Civil War the South would win due to the fact that we have well over half of the Nukes as well as most of the industry plus we invented NASCAR! So F YOU NORTHERN TRASH!
