  4. lynettekomidar says:

I really can’t follow your logic .. The africans were bought to ‘your’ country as slaves and helped build it. I have no idea what you are talking about and what your ‘chip’ is, but until you learned to spell correctly , educate yourself on the causes of war AND take that chip of your shoulder I do not wish to have any further communication.

I live in Australia .. terrific song. Terrible war .. orchestrated for the benefit of the North and actually had very little to do with the common belief that it was for ‘freedom of slaves’. The usual reason: Power and wealth .. men being just pawns

  11. redneck89911 says:

the south will rise again hell yeah

  12. MrPontiusPilate says:

So tell me, why did the farming states of the midwest ban slavery while the farming states of the south used slave labor? What’s the difference?

  13. MrPontiusPilate says:

The states of the midwest of some of the most agriculturally lucrative in the entire country. Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio are all dependent on farming yet they didn’t turn to forced labor like the southern states. So your argument doesn’t make sense.
As for the Maryland comment, that’s fine. I never was trying to prove anything about Maryand.
I don’t mind being corrected or disagreed with but don’t call someone ignorant and then get your facts wrong.

  14. MrPontiusPilate says:

The states of the Northwest Territory’s contribution to the Civil War are
    Indiana 208,000, Ohio 320,000, Michigan 90,000, Illinois 250,000, Wisconsin 91,000, and Minnesota 26,000
for a total of about 985,000 soldiers to the war effort which is about 40% of total Union soldiers during the war. The total southern force during the war was about 1.065 million to 1.1 million. So just those 6 states of the Northwest Territory contributed almost as much as the entire south.

  15. zzedfg says:

@MrPontiusPilate You are ignorant. Maryland was a southern state that couldn’t side with the confederacy due to the number of federal troops placed in it’s land, for the reason that then DC would be surrounded by it’s enemy. The Northwest territories did not participate in the war to any meaningful extent, and the core states of the Union, Maine down to NY, are not farming states in any way shape or form. The land is horrible there, much too rocky. So, WaterLane was right.

  16. zzedfg says:

@zorglubful merci! YEEEHAW!! I fight for virginia first and foremost, and then my country

  17. fffreddie says:

In March 1861, the citizens of the Arizona Territory called a secession convention to separate themselves from the United States and join the Confederacy. The Confederate Territory of Arizona became officially recognized when President Jefferson Davis signed the proclamation on February 14, 1862. Resistance to federal occupation in Arizona continued until May 1865. The Confederate units (even though small) in Arizona never surrendered.

  18. ajhoover83 says:

Did you just make fun of someone’s grammar and you misspelled the word?
    How ironic

  19. MrPontiusPilate says:

Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin were all designated as free states because the original charter of the Northwest Territorial agreement which banned slavery still applied to the region.

  20. MrPontiusPilate says:

Why wouldn’t slaves be just as valuable on corn, bean, and wheat fields like in the midwest? It seems like anyone could benefit from free labor.
And wasn’t the whole Northwest Territory made slave free even before agriculture reached reached it? Then President Jefferson made it slave free because he didn’t want slavery to expand. So the northern states that made up the territory became free states for moral reasons not economic. Though I won’t call anyone ignorant.

  21. zorglubful says:

vive la confederation! vive le sud,la vraie amerique!gloire eternelle a tous ses heros :lee, jackson, beauregard ,stuart ,forrest, ect….

  22. TheWaterLane says:

    north**

  23. TheWaterLane says:

IM not going to call anyone ignorant or anything like that. I am just saying, everyone thinks the North was to good and pure for not using slavery. The fact was notherners didnt use slavery because it wasnt economicly efficient. Slaves worked in the cotton fields, not alot of cotton in the south..

  24. LibertatisExTyrannis says:

    Nice vid!

Now to comment on all the ignorance in this comment section.

Grow the F up! The US Civil war was NOT fought to free the slaves (“My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery.” Abraham Lincoln)

The country that was born the USA on July 4 1776, died on April 18, 1865, when the C.S.A surrendered. Since then it has been a new country, with a powerful federal government, was was never supposed to be to start with.

  25. ARYANGOD420 says:

It is a good song. That’s what we get in this country, a bunch of pansy ass yankees, that needed five times the amount of troups than the south to win, and they really didn’t win, the south just gave up. There are too many internet tough guys out there, this boys probably a ten year old, judging from the username and grammer.Hey ten year old, sticks and stone will break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Southerners have guns, and we know how to use them. LONG LIVE THE SOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
