Okay…ever since i was little i’ve always loved peppermints and cheese…either spray cheese or reg. kraft cheese….idk why…i just started eating it b/c everyone else in the family would…so part of my family is from the south and i’m wondering if it’s a southern thing b/c i like rice with sugar and gritz with butter and sugar….sooo yeah…then people joke around and say i like pregnant people food….but i wanna know if anyone else eats it ((it is NOT nasty…try it….seriously…put the cheese on the peppermint lmao)) or if there’s some kind of origin….
i’m from the midwest too ()indiana()
uhm i live in alabama and we eat grits with cheese and butter and milk…and rice just plain….idk wat that is lol
Yea I’ve never heard of anyone eating peppermints with cheese lol Im from the midwest.
Could be a family treat something that was just fed to your parents parents and so on.
also from the south and no, I’ve never heard of it.
Never heard of the peppermints on cheese. I won’t discount it as it might be delicious. I like my grits with butter and salt and pepper. Another way is baked with 3 cheeses, and that is so so so good. My Aunt makes it for Christmas Dinner. I like rice plain, fried, in rice puddings, in stuffed cabbage or stuffed bell peppers, and my favorite is sweet with a bit of brown sugar, raisins, dab of butter, chopped dates, and rich cream on top.
I LOVE rice and grits with sugar and butter. Yummy!! ^_^
But peppermints and cheese? That doesn’t sound appetizing to me.
I don’t know if those are southern things. My grandma and other relatives are from the South, and they don’t put sugar on their rice and grits. They like it more savory, and with other foods.
It must be a midwest thing, as I am from one of those GRITS – “Girls Raised In The South” – lol – and I have never heard of it, but will try it if you say it is good . . . How do you do it?
As for the rice and sugar . . . <3 (as you say) ;~)
PS – Liking grits . . . period . . . is definitely southern . . . my fiancee is from Massachusetts, and he thinks they are gross . . . I love them.
PSS I have gotten him to eat livermush though . . . and he loves it. . .
