Nashville snowstorm tests Southern stereotypes
Before the first snowflake fell on Nashville, the jokes started flying. Tennesseans can’t handle snow, transplants from Northern climes insisted. Tennesseans can’t drive in snow. Tennesseans swarm the supermarkets to stockpile milk and bread at the first whiff of snow in the forecast. Then the snow actually started falling Friday morning and the jokes stopped.
