  1. dan says:

Frederickbugh and Chancellorsville. even through he did it with Jackson they were genius. Because of the fact he was out supplied,out-numbered , and out-gunned. and used genius unheard of tactics to a great effect.

  2. J. S. says:

I would say that the battles of Malvern Hill and Gettysburg were his most successful. Like other Civil War generals in the United States, Robert E. Lee learned from his mistakes.

  3. Havoc says:

The Battle of Chancellorsville, Lee commanded a smaller army against a larger Union force.
He went against the “golden rule” taught at West Point(never divide your army to a superior force) and won the battle which is the reason why he went to Gettysburg..

Try the book “Chancellorsville, Lee’s Greatest Victory”.
Its a difficult read, but a good resource, and I think the title
    answers your question.

  5. DasReich says:

Lee himself never really won a battle. He depended upon Stonewall Jackson to win battles for him. After Jackson died,Lee never won another battle.
