And I say this becuase the social meaning that our society has affiliated with this particular flag (virgina army/battalion/horde/whateverthefuck) is one of oppression, most folk will look at it and say “hey that is the conferderate flag, and I do believe they battled to protect thier ability to own slaves, so that means it has to be rascist” regardless of whether the flag represented the confederacy or not
