Why do so many Southern rednecks stick with the Republican party?

Is there something seriously wrong with the education system in the South? Or is their drinking water some how contaminated with mind altering drugs?
Just what do working class people get out of siding with the party that backs big business, big money, and cares nothing for the rights of the individual?

Do you think the reason the rock band Iron Maiden never tours the south is because they hate southern Rednecks?

I live and grew up in the south but they never come here.I was just wondering?
