According to the Internet, this is a folk processing of a poem, “True to the Gray,” set to the tune Bonny Blue Flag. More or less. My uke rendition is wholly inspired and entirely indebted to the lovely version that Tim Eriksen does.

Another one of my favorite Tim Eriksen recordings. Slow Bonnie Blue Flag down and all the sudden you have this really great mournful song, or speed it up and you get a nice jaunty call to war. Tuned ADAD (I think)
