    The first two helped “break the Confederacy’s back.”
    Atlanta allowed Sherman’s Army to attack the Confederacy’s “intestines.”
    Antietam showed the Confederacy’s army was not invincible, and prevented (with an advanced notice of the Emanciaption Proclamation) diplomatic recognition of the Confederacy by Britain and France.
